Hasbro’s Super Soakers are out for Summer!

We’ve definitely been feeling the warmth here in Ontario! As you probably know, kids can get quite cranky when the temperatures rise. A fantastic way to beat the heat is by having a classic water fight with super soakers.

The Super Soaker was created by Lonnie Johnson in 1984, gained fame thanks to Michael Jackson in 1990, and was acquired by Hasbro in 2002. For many years, these fun water blasters have been a go-to for both kids and adults looking to cool off during hot days.

The blaster operates with a straightforward pumping action. You can easily use most water bottles you have at home, or opt for a bigger soda bottle to increase your water supply. Although it’s recommended for kids aged 6 and older, younger children can also enjoy using it. We really appreciate that this blaster allows for the addition of a soda bottle for extra water capacity, and the pumping action is both easy and smooth.

The Super Soaker Breach Blast is a timeless pump-action water blaster made for kids aged 6 and older. With an impressive 50-ounce water tank (which is just over three pints), it offers a fantastic range for soaking opponents. Although it’s suggested for children 6 and up, we noticed that even younger kids could handle it quite well. Its balanced design made it easy to use, allowing our testers to drench their targets quickly and effectively.

The Nerf Super Soaker Scatter Strike is a fresh addition to Hasbro’s lineup for 2016, just like the Nerf Super Soaker Breach Blast. However, while the Breach Blast has a single nozzle, the Scatter Strike boasts five nozzles arranged in a cross pattern. Although it’s designed for kids aged 6 and older, our four-year-old tester had no trouble handling the Nerf Super Soaker Breach Blast.
