The candles from Royal Canadian Candles are quite remarkable overall. Although their scent range isn’t as extensive as some other brands, the fragrances they offer are truly delightful.

The French Vanilla Latte scent is perfect for a chilly winter day. If you’re a fan of vanilla, this candle will surely please your senses. The aroma lingers in the air for hours after burning, which is a fantastic feature. Made from 100% soy wax, the candle comes in a jar with a convenient twist-off lid. The label design complements the jar beautifully.

This was my first experience with a wooden wick candle, and I encountered some tunnelling issues. I quickly learned from the company that it’s important to keep the wicks trimmed. They recommend burning the candles for no more than four hours at a time. After extinguishing, let the candle cool for two hours, then trim the wick before relighting. When you do relight it, make sure to snap off the top of the wick to ensure it’s even and about an eighth of an inch tall. Following these guidelines should help prevent any wick problems.

Personally, I’ve decided that wood wicks aren’t for me. However, Royal Canadian Candles promptly replaced my candle with one that has a traditional wick. Their customer service is outstanding.

My candle burned for around eight hours before I could see the foil containing my ring. We let the wax around it melt before my husband carefully removed it. After blowing out the candle, we easily extracted the package with tweezers. The foil came off without a hitch, and inside, sealed in a small plastic bag, was my ring!
