Available in 4 flavors- plain, banana, apple, and vegetable- Moms will be pleased to know that Baby Mum-Mum is gluten-free, egg-free, and peanut-free, with no artificial additives and preservatives. Baby Mum-Mum biscuits do contain a small amount of sugar and salt which act as leavening agents, but compared to other ‘baby snacks’ on the market Mum-Mum biscuits are fairly low in sugar and salt and remain within the daily allowance.
I don’t know about the age recommendation of 4 months. We started giving our daughter Baby Mum-Mum biscuits at age 6 months. They were actually the second successful attempt at finger food self-feeding! Unlike puffs, which are small- Mum-Mum biscuits were easy for her to hold onto even before she mastered the pincer grasp.
My daughter has a big appetite, which is apparent by her chubbiness. At first, she didn’t quite understand what they were but was intrigued, so continued to eat the biscuit. I think at first she was most interested in the box and the fact she knew there were more biscuits inside.
My growing daughter now 11 months continues to enjoy Baby Mum- Mum biscuits and gets excited whenever we give her one- with her favorite being apple and vegetable flavor. She even loves to share her rice biscuits with Mommy. Though the biscuits don’t offer anything in much way of sustenance they are a great snack to give as a distraction for a bored baby or a great way to keep them happy while you are eating dinner.
I was pleased to learn that there is a world of toddler treats beyond Arrowroot. Allow me to introduce you to Toddler Mum-Mums- which are basically not much different than Baby Mum-Mums. They are the same texture that little ones like my granddaughter have come to love. Larger sized- the circular white discs, will fit your toddler’s developing hands, mouth, and teeth. Available in tasty flavors like organic strawberry, apple, and banana, Toddler Mum-Mum is sure to become a favorite.
Why stop at baby and toddler Mum-Mum biscuits? For active school-age kids on the go, Mum-Mum Snax is a guilt-
It is nice to find a snack that grows with your child.
