Thanksgiving is over here in Canada and the count down to Christmas has begun. Please do not shoot the message. If you want to get a jump start on your holiday shopping and are shopping for a child six and over then these all natural beauty kits make a great gift idea. Kiss Naturals DIY beauty kits contain all natural ingredients and are made right here in Canada. Whether you are conscious about what goes onto your child’s skin, or your child is just discovering things like lip balm and bath bombs, making your own  beauty products at home is a rewarding use of time and teaches children math and science. Choose from Kiss Naturals DIY lava lip gloss, lip balm, bubble bath and so much more. Here at Today’s Woman we have owned several of the kits over the last couple of years and just love Kiss Naturals DIY beauty kits.

DIY Bubble Bath Kit

Bubble Bath Making Kit by Kiss NaturalsThe process of the Bubble Bath Kit is simple, fun and easy to follow. The kit comes with everything you need to make your own bubble bath. While the recommend age for the kit is six and up my almost five year old daughter needed very little help and had lots of fun with this DIY bath set.

First: Pour 30 ml of bubble bath base into the included measuring cup. Select your choice of fragrance and add 10 to 30 drops. Next: Add 0-20 drops of coloring to the measuring cup depending on how dark you want your bubble bath. You can combine scents to create your own fragrance.

Next: stir with the included stir stick. Carefully pour the mixture into one of the included bubble bath bottles. Place the cap on tight.  The bath kit makes 4 bottles of bubble bath.

Bubble bath

The bubble bath smells great and leaves the bath water brimming with bubbles. My daughter loves taking baths, over showers  The bubble bath kit was such a hit that she couldn’t wait to take a bath, so that she could use her new bubbles.

Kiss Naturals DIY Lava Lip Gloss

Kiss Naturals DIY Lava Lip GlossMiss P just discovered lip balm and lip gloss. She was super excited to learn that with Kiss Naturals DIY kits she can make her very own lip gloss right at home.

The Kiss Naturals Lip Gloss Kit contains everything she needs to make six lip glosses. The craft kit includes a 60ml bottle of Castor Oil, a 30ml of Safflower Oil, 3 2ml bottles of colorant, 2 2ml bottles of flavoring, a small measuring cup, and 6 lip-gloss applicators.

First we remove the cap and ball insert from lip gloss applicator. This is where younger kids like Miss P may need some help. Pour 5 ml of castor oil into the cup. I instructed her on which line to pour to. Next we add 5 ml of safflower oil to the same cup up until the ten ml line. Again, some instruction of what line to pour to was given. She then poured the mixture into the lip-gloss applicator.

Next approximately 30-40 drops of the colored glycerine is added directly into the applicator. The included colors are purple, pink and yellow. You can either drop a single color or choose to mix the colors. Next, add approximately 5-10 drops of flavor directly into the lip gloss applicator. The included flavors are Boysenberry and Bubble Gum.

Lastly, replace the rolling ball and cap on the top of the lip gloss applicator and shake vigorously.

My daughter had a lot of fun with this craft and chose to keep all the lip balms for herself.  This would make a wonderful DIY craft to do at a kids spa birthday party and of course the perfect Christmas gift idea for girls five and up.

Kiss Naturals DIY Lip Balm Kit

Kiss Naturals DIY Beauty Kits for Girls With Kiss Naturals lip balm is so easy to make! Like with other kits, young children will need adult supervision. The ingredients do need heated in a microwave, so please assist your children when needed.

After preparing a jar and a tube in the holding tray, you measure out the safflower oil. Measure the shea butter and add this to the safflower oil. Next measure out the needed bees wax beads.

Place the measuring cup on a microwave safe plate and place it in the microwave and heat for 1 minute. Stir and make sure the beads have melted. If you need more melting time, microwave for another 30 seconds. Now you can add your flavor and stir.

Carefully fill your tubes and jar. Place caps on and refrigerate for 20 minutes. Check and see if they have solidified and if needed allow more time in the refrigerator.

Kiss Naturals DIY Bath Sizzles Review

Kiss Naturals
Empty the secret formula into a bowl. Next: Measure out 10 ml of Witch Hazel into the small measuring cup. Empty into the bowl and start mixing right away. Now add the entire content of 1 fragrance bottle into your mix. Continue to mix for one min using your hands. The texture should feel like moist ( not wet) sand. Pack into your mold and let dry for two hours.

The bath bombs (fizzies) did crumble a little when taking them out of the heart mold.

Though the craft is recommended for children aged 6 and up, my daughter was able to complete this craft last holiday season with some assistance from me.

Please be sure to follow instructions carefully as there is a mini kit and larger kit. The amount of Witch Hazel you will need varies. Miss P gave some of the bath bombs to her older sister for Christmas.

Kiss Naturals DIY Hair Chalk Review

Hair Chalk ReviewThe hair chalk kit comes with everything you need to make 6 chalks (each one a different color). You get 6 mold trays, 6 packages of powder to make the chalks, water to mix with the powder, a mixing cup, and spoon.

Measure out the water in the measuring cup, add the powder and mix it up. Place the mix into the mold and let it sit for 2 hours. After 2 hours pop it out of the mold and you have hair chalk. Then apply to your hair like any other hair chalk. The kit comes with detailed instructions with pictures that are super easy to follow.

From Christmas holidays to snow days, insure your child isn’t bored with Kiss Naturals DIY beauty kits.
