Additionally, the hotel offers a range of amenities for your convenience: Hairdresser, free parking, Room Service, Meeting/Banquet Facilities, Business Center, Laundry, Dry Cleaning,  On-Site ATM Machine, free wireless internet, and an on-site restaurant.

For those traveling on business,  amenities offered are boardrooms featuring upgraded seating, integrated audiovisual and wireless high-speed internet. Also offered are faxing, copying, printing, and rapid check-out. Key-controlled elevator access is added for added security and privacy. Guests on the Business Level are offered complimentary use of the Private Room in JM’s Restaurant for business meetings, presentations, and private dining.

Guests traveling on business will appreciate the private business floor. We recently stayed in the Ambassador suite in the West Tower, which offers over 800 square feet of elegantly appointed comfort located on the business floor.

The living room features a table for six with parsons chairs, a sofa bed, two upholstered chairs, and a fireplace. There are two bathrooms. The ensuite bathroom to the bedroom boasts an oversized whirlpool spa bath, large glass-enclosed shower, bidet, granite counter, spa bath, amenities, and hairdryer. I must say the oversized Whirlpool spa bath was a relaxing treatment for my sunburned skin.

The second bathroom boasts a sink and toilet.  The suite features two 42″ plasma televisions, one in the sitting room and one in the bedroom. The bedroom has a king-sized bed, large work desk, chair, dresser, night tables, lamps, multi-function speakerphone, and alarm clock. There is a nice large window in the bedroom that opens for fresh air. The refreshment center has a mini-fridge, complimentary coffee, tea, and bottled water. The suite also has an air conditioner.

The suite was exceptionally clean and of all the hotels I have stayed in this has to be one of the cleanest. Kudos to the cleaning staff.  On the downside, we did not find the front desk staff on check-in to be very friendly, but the gentleman who check us out of our room was very polite.

JM’s Restaurant And Lounge

JM’s Restaurant And Lounge

For dinner, we dined at JM’s Restaurant and Lounge located in the Ambassador Conference Resort. Our waitress was extremely friendly and prompt.  We started our meal off with salads. I had the Caesar Salad and my husband went for the artisan greens, which was a bouquet of crisp greens in an English cucumber ribbon dotted with julienne sun-dried tomatoes and croutons with ranch dressing. Both salads were very good.

For our entree, we decided to go for a lighter flair. We both ordered the JM’s Beef Burger, which is grilled double patties topped with dill pickle, lettuce, and tomato served on a deli Kaiser.  The burger is served with your choice of fries or salad. The burgers here were quite good. They were nicely thick, fresh patty, and very filling. For dessert, our mouths savored the heavenly taste of cheesecake drizzled with rich succulent chocolate syrup and garnished with a Belgium chocolate spear.

JM’s Restaurant and Lounge offers a relaxing atmosphere, though our dinner was serenaded by the sound of a screaming child. Definitely no fault of the staff.

A lounge is also a great place for guests of Ambassador Conference Resort to relax, and watch the game on one of three t.v. screens including a large screen plasma or sit at the bar and enjoy their favorite drink.

Definitely a wonderful dining experience.

Kingston is home to many wonderful sites, and events making it a very active tourist destination. While in Kingston take the kids to Kingston’s Family Funworld Park. The park features a three-screen drive-in, 1/4 mile lite Go Kart track, batting tent, mini golf, and laser tag.

Both a museum and a spectacular historic site, Fort Henry is one of Canada’s premier tourist attractions. The site offers guided tours, scenic views, musical performances from a military band, and military and marching demonstrations by the Fort Henry Guard.
