My grandchildren have been working on making sure lights are turned off before they leave the room to save energy which is one of the activities from Applejack.
We will be spending some extra time with our pets
My grandchildren participate each fall in a food drive for the local food bank. A few days before they put bags on the doors in the area they are assigned asking people to fill the bag and leave it on their steps on Saturday. They pick the bags up and load them into the car and then they are dropped off at a designated drop off site. I have driven them on it and they get so excited when they see a bag waiting to be picked up.

I met my best childhood friend in grade three and we remained good friends throughout our lives even though we lived far apart. Sadly she passed away from breast cancer a few years ago.
My best childhood friend lived right across the street from me. I was first to get married and then she left town to go to school and become a nurse. She is married and is a grandma like I am and we still keep in touch even though she no longer lives in my town. We talk on the phone and email. She was always there for me.

We normally bake extra cookies so we can visit our local seniors home and share them with those that live there. My oldest also likes to bring his favourite book and practice his reading there with a senior.

My best childhood friend is still a friend today! She is always there for me, in good times and bad. She loves my kids as if they are her own and she’s always concern about myself, my parents and my kids! She’s so amazing!

My best childhood friend lived across the road from us. We we country folks so enjoyed playing in the woods and making forts. I was crushed when they moved away when I was 10 but we still keep in touch today through facebook 🙂
