Author:Mike FakI spent a great deal of time last weekend doing something that I doubt anyone would consider normal. I was up in the air in a small ticket booth suspended on the end of an industrial boom. Yeh, I will explain.

Interview with Clint Eastwood

Author:John SammonI did an interview with actor Clint Eastwood. Eastwood is a worldwide celebrity, who rarely grants interviews. He graciously consented to talk about his early career, golf, including the annual U.S. Open golf tournament, his Mission Ranch development, and the frustrations of water and politics in his hometown of Carmel.

As I Get Older…

Author: Gene Simmons As I get older, I find that there are a hell of a lot of positives associated with aging. Sure, there are some drawbacks too, but at this point in my life, they’re fairly minor. Here are some of the things I’m seeing as I cruise into my slightly tarnished “golden years”:

“You’re an Idiot!”

By Gene SimmonsNo, no, I’m not referring to you. I personally don’t feel that anyone on this planet is an “idiot” – although it seems there may be a few of us cruising through life a few French fries short of a Happy Meal. But that’s the way life is. We can only play the cards we’re dealt and that’s OK.

Your Cat’s in my Garden

Author:Gene SimmonsWe should never be so sure that what we believe is fact – the absolute one hundred percent truth – that we close our minds to all other possible explanations.

Christmas---A Real and True Meaning

Author:Sandra E. GrahamOver two thousand years ago a baby was born. And who was there to record that birth along with the other thousands of births that occurred around that same time frame?

Three for Christmas

Author: Tom Foley Yeah, I m a sentimental guy, and this is the season when memories of past Christmases tend to crowd my mind. It s a time when the words "I remember" leap quickly from my lips to set the mood for retelling old stories. The three vignettes that follow were chosen because I sense many folks have had similar experiences.

Yucky Faces and Weird Sounds

Author:Gene SimmonsIt s no fun to feel yucky due to a bad cold or bout of the flu. Is it possible however, that we sometimes act in ways that tend to make our illness worse than it really is?

Appreciating Diversity During the Holidays

Author:Simma LiebermanAppreciating Diversity During the Holidays:

A New Approach to an Old Problem- Racism

Author:Rose DesRochers

"An eye for an eye makes the whole world blind." - Mahatma Gandhi

There is a lot of hatred in this world. Five years ago on the morning of September 11, the world witnessed the terrible repercussions of such hatred. Now I’m reading this blog titled “I Hate Racists” on ihatethis.org that is filled with venom and hatred towards racism and bigotry. By preaching sheer hatred like this you are only adding fuel to the fires that burn in a world already filled with hatred and violence.

Life’s an Illusion

Author:Gene Simmons

I ll get right to the point. Life is not necessarily what we think it is. And no, I m not going to extrapolate this to the extreme to try to convince you that we really exist on some obscure planet in a distant spiral galaxy and that all of this we’re experiencing as "Life" is only a dream.

Go Ahead – Waste Some Time!

Author:Gene Simmons

As I peruse various articles from the “self-help experts”, I am amazed at how often I run into the admonition to stop wasting time. Create a daily “To Do” list, prioritize, and do, do, do. Get stuff done. Don’t get sidetracked. Remember your goals. Try to keep on schedule. Go, go, go! Keep moving. Stick with the plan. Do you want to succeed or not? Keep going – and for cryin’ out loud, STOP WASTING TIME!

Don’t Give Up!

Author:Gene Simmons

Don t let anyone kid you. The road to self improvement and personal growth is not a short, straight, well-marked, paved highway.

Spooky Stuff

Author:Gene Simmons

Supernatural – paranormal – and things that go bump in the night. Ghosts gliding through the castle hallways – the sound of footsteps outside the bedroom door – the touch in the middle of the night. Vases flinging themselves across the room – the voice saying your name when you’re all alone – the smell of perfume in the middle of nowhere. The vision of your dead loved one by the bed – the medium’s message to you from a friend or relative beyond the grave – the image of a “helper” at your friend’s shoulder.

Feudin’ and Fussin’ and A-Fightin’

Author: Gene Simmons

There are probably at least 17 gazillion reasons why folks get into arguments. Unfortunately none of them are very valid.
