How to add the webring fragment
Step 1 Download the Todays-Woman Writing Webring banner
Download the Todays-Woman Writing Webring graphics. Simply right click the image and select save as to save it to your own hard drive. After you download Todays-Woman Writing Webring banner graphic, be sure to upload them to your own site; the html code generated by the system will need to reflect these changes so the graphic is being called from your web site.
Step 2: Modifying the code!
Changing the table color:
By default the table background color is set to "white". To change the Table background color modify the main < table tag and look for bgcolor='#ffffff', simply change this to what ever hexadecimal color you require to match your website theme! Example: bgcolor="0000FF" = Blue bgcolor="FF0000" = RED bgcolor="#CCCCCC" = Grey etc.
Changing the Image Source:
Now we need to change the image directory path to reflect where you uploaded the image on your own webserver! In the generated HTML code look for the line that starts with <img border="0" src=" by default the image source is set to our directory. <img border="0" src="http://www.todays-woman.net/modules/WebRing/images/webring.gif" width="90" height="90" alt="Todays-Woman Writing Webring"> We need to change the image directory to your website path! Example: <img border="0" src="http://www.YOUR_SITE.com/YOUR IMAGE PATH/webring.gif" width="90" height="90" alt="Todays-Woman Writing Webring"> Now this image source will vary depending on your specifications and where you uploaded the webring.gif file too.
Most common mistakes:
Pay special attention to the proper spelling of the directory where you may have uploaded the webring.gif file too, 9 out of 10 times the error is a simple typo causing a broken image to be displayed in the webring fragment or you missed a colon " either at the beginning of the image code or at the end!
Changing the text color in the webring fragment!
If you wish to alter the text color as well to better suite your site you need to look for all the instances of this line: <font face="Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif" size="2" color="#000000"> The only part of the code that needs to be changed is the color="#000000". Example: color=="0000FF" = Blue color="FF0000" = RED color="#CCCCCC" = Grey etc. There are 4 instances where the font color will need to be changed if you so desire to alter the font color!
YOUR NOT ALLOWED TO ALTER THE COLOR OF THE FONT TO HIDE OR MASK IT FROM BEING VIEWED. IT MUST BE VISIBLE AT ALL TIMES, WEBSITE OWNERS WHO MASK OR HIDE THE LINKS WILL BE REMOVED FROM THE WEBRING WITHOUT NOTICE.
