We interrupt your regularly scheduled writing to invite you to drop by the Today’s Woman Writing Community forums for a slice of birthday cake.

Five years ago today Shawn and I launched todays-woman.net. We have come a long way.

Over these last five years, Today’s Woman Writing Community has been such a massive part of our life. Over the course of five years we have seen members come and members go. We have suffered the lost of a great member and poet. We have supported members through the loss of parents, loved ones and hard times showing that we are indeed a community. We have celebrated writer’s accomplishments and have been chosen as Writer’s Digest Best website for writers two years in a row.

In the midst of great times we have also had our hard times. We have been talked about –laughed at and some times we have wanted to give up yet Shawn and I have stuck with it through thick and thin. We could not have done it without the loyal support of staff, members and friends. To each of you we say thank you.

In order to help us celebrate our fifth birthday this year, we would like to encourage all members to get involved in the website and take part in the forums.

In honor of Today’s Woman’s fifth birthday we are giving away five items over the course of the next five days. At the end of the five days we’ll have a grand price, but in order to enter for the grand price you’ll have to participate on todays-woman.net over the course of five days.

How do you enter each give away? Submit a poem or story each day to the site. Of course you can submit more than one poem or story if you like; the greater your participation on site the greater your chances of winning.

We will select one winner each day to win one of the five prices.

It’s that simple.

We’d like to thank each of you for supporting Today’s Woman and choosing us as your writing community. We look forward to celebrating many more birthdays to come.
