1. How do I add a picture to my
forum post?
To add an image you need to use the IMG tag. The image you wish to use in
your
post must be uploaded to a website that allows direct linking. The image can not
be
uploaded from your site to the todays-woman server unless you are a premium
member. To add
the image to your forum post you have one of two options. You can
use the img code or you can
click on the picture icon that will pop up a window
allowing you to enter your url, then once
you have added your url to the image,
you just need to click ok.
Example:

2. How do I add a picture
under my username? Other wise known as an
avatar?
Answer: There are 2
methods to allow you to successfully add your avatar.
1st In your account click on
change info and scroll down to where you see the
section avatar control panel, then select
the avatar of your choice from your
computer by clicking on show gallery, click on the image
that you want and then
you must click submit to save your changes.
2nd You
can go to the forums and select your profile button at the top of the
forums, then scroll
down and either click show gallery or upload your own You
must click submit to save your
changes other wise the avatar will be broken.
3. How do I post a
topic?
Simply select the corresponding forum you wish to post your topic in,
and then
click the 'New Topic' button: enter a 'Topic Title', and your message. Then you
can preview your topic or hit submit.
4. How do I reply to a
topic?
Simply hit the 'Reply' button, type your message and click on preview
to preview
what you have written or submit if you ready to post it.
5. How
do I post a URL (link) address?
This can be achieved in a couple different
ways. You can click on the weblink
icon in your post that will open a new window allowing you
to enter your
information or you can add the [URL=http://www.todays-woman.net] Todays-Woman
[/URL]
6. How do I quote another post?
Quoting
text in replies
There are two ways that you can quote
text
[quote=""][/quote] This reference allows you to quote another
person.
For example, to quote a piece of text I wrote, you would
enter:
[quote="Rose"] The text I wrote would go
here[/quote]
The second method allows you to quote anything. To use this method
use the tags
[quote][/quote] When you view the message it will simply show: Quote: before the
text itself.
Another option is to click on the quote button of the
user that you wish to
quote. This will give you the already quoted text.
Example:
[quote="Rose"] The text I wrote would go
here[/quote]
7. Can I edit my posts?
Only
moderators and administrators are allowed to edit their own posts. Please
be sure to preview
your post before submitting.
8. What are smilies and how do I use
them?
Smilies (aka Emoticon) are small images of faces with different expressions.
To view all the emoticons click on view more emoticons. This will open a new
window
with many fun emoticons for you to use.
9. Can I promote my own website in the
forums.
Yes but please post in the appropriate forum. Spam and form posts
will be
deleted. Please note you must have ten posts before you can advertise your
website.
10. How do I add a signature to my posts?
To
add a signature you need to first create a signature in your profile through
your account,
once you are in your account click on change info and there you
will be able to add your
signature. Please note Today's Woman does not allow a
single link to your website in your
signature. No advertising or ad slogans are
permitted. We do not allow affiliate links or
sales pitches in sig files. You're
permitted to put your site url in your profile only.
Images are no longer
permitted in your posting sig, due to abuse and other problems like
off-site
links being slow to load. Posts which contain advertisements will be removed
from the forum, and repeat offenders could be banned. If you have any questions,
