| writting lately. I have nothing to write about. I have wrote one poem in four months. I think I am losing my craft in a way. I guess. I can't realy put it in to words. |

Hi and a BIG welcome to the site 
I'm sure you are not alone when you feel you have "lost" the art of writing and nothing seems to inspire you, I know I can identify with this, then panic, what if I never write poetry again! So instead of sitting with a blank screen or paper feeling desperate, I read others work on here, both unknown and the well known popular poets, or I will set myself a challenge, try to write an acrostic, or a Haiku, I find working within the set limits of this type poetry helps, or you could try and put down the first six words that come into your head, then have a go at writing a piece incorporating these words. I find walking very therapeutic and helps to free my mind, or do whatever relaxes you, listening to music maybe. Or set yourself a break from even attempting to write, eg "I will not write anything for 2 weeks" chances are something will pop into your head. Keep a notebook by the bed where you can jot down any ideas, just a few suggestions, but I am sure that once a writer always a writer, there is no limit to how when or where. May your creativity create! |

| Honestly, I do my best (and sometimes only) writing when I'm depressed. I went years without writing a single poem and then my girlfriend broke up with me. I wrote dozens of poems (which is a lot for me) over the course of a couple months. And now, that things have settled and I'm happy again... I have nothing to write about at all. Find your muse but don't over complicate it. I can sit here and be angry all night while staring at a blank computer screen trying to come up with something to write about. |
