I know a lot of work went into the 'new' Todays-Woman, I was much happier with the old one, am I the only one that feels this way? Links were much clearer, the site was more user friendly, you had a poet of the week. and Rose was on top of it all.
I am not thick, after a lot of hard work [I have a Science Degree and an Arts Degree] yet once I am out of my Home page I doooooooo find it difficult to get to where I want to go. If I return to Home then it isn't my page - well you know what I mean so I take my frustration out in the arcade games rather than posting poetry as I origionally intended. I belong to another poetry site and surfing there is a doddle. They don't yet have a arcade page but I am pushing for it.

Got that off my chest at last, I hope that is OK with you all.

Hello paintedlady Smile

Of course you are free to your opinion, and I thank you for voicing your opinions. When we where re-designing the site many users voted for links to be placed in the top of the header.

But because Todays-Woman.net is so diverse and has many categories we had to figure out away to incorporate the new links with out taking up the whole page.

That’s why now, when you click a link it shows the links in the sub-menu for easier navigation.

The poetry and story section where not touched and are left the same, except layout or colors..

Many of the areas of the design had to be constructed for better SEO and positioning.

Tell me what it is you’re wishing to see far as navigation and layout?

We are always looking for ways to better improve our site.

First of all you are more than welcome to voice your opinion and we are always looking on ways to improve the site. We never had a poet of the week. It has always been poet- writer of the month and the site still has that. Instead of choosing both a poet and short story writer- we choose one writer of the month. Top poem and stories are always still awarded.

I apologize if you feel I'm not on top of things.

Maybe you should tell me what you want from your community.

By the way, you joined May 12, 2006 and there is not one poem listed in your account?

We did not change the site until this year so what was your reason to not posting poems prior?

It takes money and time to administrate a community and it is always the same ones supporting it. Rose now has a job outside of the computer too so I have been helping out a lot on site. Top poems and stories are still awarded each week by me. What can we do to improve the site?

But as mentioned before, most of the sections are in tact, they havent been changed.

Example Your Account, contains links to the submit poems, stories etc. It also contains most of the links to the site.

The only change is the links in the top header... and left hand side and this was to better optimize the site for search engines and users where complaining the page was too long.

So we fixed that!

Hey, as the others have said thanks for you opinion. Just so that you know, the homepage was never your account page, at least not that I remember lol. So far as the navigation menu is concerned, each sub section has various links which will take you to every place that used to be on this site, as well as links to some places that some people probably didn't know existed like famous poets/famous bio's etc. As Rose explained there is still a Writer of the month, which is announced every month on the bottom of the homepage with a picture of the writer of the month. If you have any questions then don't hesitate to pm me or Orion and ask.

Shawn has redone the sitemap and it is now active. The sitemap is a page containing all the links to various sections of the site.

Hello quicksilver Smile

You actually used the wrong HTML tag the < b > < /b > is to make text bold.

If you want to add a pagebreak use the following instead.

< br / >

Take care,

I have just been on the site a couple of weeks, also not particularly computer literate and I think practice makes perfect. I have been trying different routes and find different ways of getting where I want to go by spending time practicing.
As I said "Practice makes Perfect"

Just my own opinion, I am still learning
