So much has been said and sung of beautiful young girls, why don't somebody wake up to the beauty of old women?

Hay there ! i was reading different qoutation about woman , while reading this quote came across , "So much has been said and sung of beautiful ,young girls, why don't somebody wake up to the beauty of old women?" i want all of you to comment on it ? is that quote true ? if yes then y if no then y? i would appreciate participatants kind replies ... awaiting

Well sweety i dont have much knack of literature as yourself but as much as my little bitty brain knows, it says, it never really really read any poetry about older women, except mothers grandmothers their love and care.
Apart from that you yourself pretty much know the people in our society.They go for external beauty rather inner beauty.Someone who can walk the isle with them, having great figure etc is the ideal match.
So the conclusion is nobody likes wrinkled face, with a 10 set teeth, jittery voice, hesistant to do everything, quite not capable of keeping herself well-maintained and presentable and not very much handy!
Through a some mean writer's point of view, good things last and so do good personalities... see good things, write good things, and get a good money.
Here in Today's woman you shall find everybody,writing on almost every bit of emotion/people. i havent much browsed here myself, but if you look for it may be you get it here, or you can ask "Miss Rose" so far She and her team has done justice to their jobs.
I am sure she will come up with a good answer for this! I believe she has one

Dear whisped , i appreciate ur honest remarks .im just pondering on this naive idea how come a man cant fell in love with a woman who is a decade year older then him . infact this is the plot of my new story . so im seeking adviced other ideas , guidance , so i can jump into conclusion . Have a happy living.

I believe that the poem Phenomenal Woman - by Maya Angelou is a poem that actually appreciates the beaty of the everyday woman. There also has been many songs written about older women.
Mrs. Robinson" is a song written by Paul Simon and first performed by Simon and Garfunkel. It was written for a movie in which a recent graduate has an affair with a married woman.
Stacy's Mom was written by Fountains of Wayne. "Stacy's Mom" is about a boy's fantasies about a female friend's mother.
Real Live Woman is another song that talks about the beauty of women.

I'm 23 and I have a coworker that is almost 60 but my husband (also 23) comments on how classy and beautiful she is. It's endearing because I know as I age he'll still find me beautiful.
So, I think there are men out there who find beauty with wisdom instead of perky double-d's. |

hey, pg... if it makes you feel any better, back in my old life, after having two much older husbands and with 7 kids, several grandkids, in my mid-40s to late-mid 50s, i had a 14-yr-younger lover for over 9 years and during much of that time, was pursued by a much-younger-yet kid who was obsessed with me, as being the sexiest lady he'd ever met... he'd previously fallen for my 18-yr-old daughter when he was 16 and started coming around after me, when he was a mere 22 and i was 50!...
and several other guys in town [westport, ct] thought so, too, even when i had no makeup on and needed a shower/shampoo!... so, natural sensuousness comes through to guys, no matter what a woman looks like or how old she is... in my late 50s, when no longer slim and totally 'natural' face, body, and hair-wise, i was still being hit on by good-looking fellas in their 30s, while gadding about the world... it's much more common for european and asian men to appreciate older women, than for americans...
so, all you older gals out there, don't think you have to look like a barbie doll to be attractive!

I think older women are coming into their own....finally! We live in a very youth oriented, appearance oriented culture, but blessedly, we seem to be celebrating age and the beauty of aging as never before. There is a freedom in accepting your gray hair, wrinkles, and less-than-perfect body as the natural way of things. Beauty always has and always will come from within. What makes a person, man or woman, attractive at any age is their character and personality.
