Hi, I promised Rose that I'd keep all you posted if there was any word about my poem I had entered in the open poetry contest from The Poetry Institute of Canada back in August....
Well, today in the mail, I got a letter stating ( a form letter), that my poem has now been chosen to be included into the top group of entries received in the contest and my poem is to move forward into the final round to be judged in the winter, and could potentially be a winner ! Also, they would like to publish my poem in their upcoming anthology. I have the option to purchase a copy of the anthology or not to. I have to send them back a form > author's release form so they could go ahead and publish my poem in their antholgy .
Not too bad eh, for a first time to enter an an actual legitimate poetry contest from a recognized poetry organization...I'm hoping The Poetry Institute of Canada is, and not a scam like the Poetry.com one is ...
Anyways, just wanted to share the news....I'm smiling pretty right about now I can tell you !
If I hear from them again with some more good news, you'll hear it from me.....PoetWoman  |
