Does anyone here do Tarot readings (for yourself or others)?
I am into Tarot (writing a story about it) and would like to have some input on a couple of recent readings.

I am not entirely sure how to answer this...

I used to do Tarot Readings, but have less of a need to do it now that I have other ways of meditating, so to speak.

Some con-artists out there will talk about telling your fortune or future, but when I did Tarot Readings, I did it to analyze myself and my subconscious - perhaps even my unconscious. It rarely did anything related to predicting the future. Each image that I saw was something that I had to interpret by looking within myself, and figuring out the significance of each image, the feel of each image.

If you want my personal suggestion, I would pick up a deck - even those cheap 5.00 decks - and look through the manuals and the symbolisms of the cards. Each deck is slightly different than the other in this aspect. Some people even make their own decks.

Other than that, I am not sure what to tell you. I never claimed to be a master Tarot Reader or anything of that nature. The way I used the deck may slightly differ from what others did and still do.

Both of my Tarot card decks have been gifts. One was from my mother, since she does not use it anymore and another was from a friend, for I bought that friend a deck. They are, for the most part, more of memorable treasures than anything at the moment.

Sincerely,

I have done an occasional reading and have friends who do them frequently.

I have never understood Tarot, but would be interested in reading about it, could you suggest any reliable sources?
