Airleaf Publishing used to be called Bookman Marketing. I have been spammed by them on numerous occasions. Interestingly enough, several authors have complaints about this publishing company too. A range of complaints include, spamming, non payment of royalties, poorly made books, unprofessional and rude email from the founders of the company.

Pearlie Duncan Walker had received an invitation from Deborah Lynn Haley/Versus DL Shelton who offered to publish Ms. Walker's book Heaven's Gate. Deborah owned TheeaglesGarden.com, a supposed Christian publishing company.

Ms. Duncan had never received any royalties from her book, which she believed to be published by The Eagles Garden Publishing Ministry and once the book was published, she never heard from Deborah again.

Ms.Walker recently learned from a friend of hers who lives in Memphis that Theeaglesgarden did not publish her book, but Deborah Lynn Haley had bookman Marketing now known as Airleaf Publishing- publish the book.

According to Ms. Walker when she contacted Brien Jones Vice President of AirLeaf Publishing he denied selling any copies of Ms. Walker's book. When Ms.Walker explained that a friend had purchased one of her books, she was referred over to the owner of Airleaf Publishing who did eventually send her a royalty for books sold.

Ms. Walker has also explained to us that Brien Jones informed her that her book was published in Ms. Deborah Lynne Haley/ Versus DL Shelton's name, however the book is authored under Ms. Walker's name. Furthermore Ms. Walker is very concerned that she might not have not received full royalties from all books which were sold.

Would Pearlie not have had to sign a contract with Airleaf and if no contract has been signed by her, what legal rights would they have to publish her book? Pearlie is 77 and I'm concern both these publishing companies have taken advantage of her.

You would assumed that one could trust a "Christian" company.
