I don’t know about the age recommendation of 4 months. We started giving our daughter Baby Mum-Mum biscuits at age 6 months.  They were actually the second successful attempt at finger food self-feeding! Unlike puffs, which are small-  Mum-Mum biscuits were easy for her to hold onto even before she mastered the pincer grasp.

My daughter has a big appetite, which is apparent by her chubbiness. At first, she didn’t quite understand what they were but was intrigued, so continued to eat the biscuit. I think at first she was most interested in the box and the fact she knew there were more biscuits inside.

Baby Mum-Mum- Finger FoodBaby Mum-Mum biscuits do dissolve fairly quickly in your little ones’ month,  but parents should note that larger pieces can break off which will cause your baby to gag. Babies are born with a gag reflex – a natural defense against choking. Basically, the biscuit will move to the back of your baby’s tongue and she’ll ‘cough’ it forward to prevent it from entering her airways. Of course, it’s vital that you watch carefully to ensure that the biscuit does not get stuck.

My growing daughter now 11 months continues to enjoy Baby Mum- Mum biscuits and gets excited whenever we give her one- with her favorite being apple and vegetable flavor. She even loves to share her rice biscuits with Mommy. Though the biscuits don’t offer anything in much way of sustenance they are a great snack to give as a distraction for a bored baby or a great way to keep them happy while you are eating dinner.

I was pleased to learn that there is a world of toddler treats beyond Arrowroot. Allow me to introduce you to Toddler Mum-Mums- which are basically not much different than Baby Mum-Mums. They are the same texture that little ones like my granddaughter have come to love.  Larger sized- the circular white discs, will fit your toddler’s developing hands, mouth, and teeth. Available in tasty flavors like organic strawberry,  apple, and banana, Toddler Mum-Mum is sure to become a favorite.

Why stop at baby and toddler Mum-Mum biscuits? For active school-age kids on the go, Mum-Mum Snax is a guilt-free tasty snack that is portable and easy to pack in lunch bags. Oven baked with organic whole grain brown rice and other natural ingredients, Mum-Mum Snax is a guarantee not to last long once open, which was the case in my friend Bri’s house.  Bri, a mother of 3 with one on the way-  was pleased to see her son reaching for Mum-Mum snacks over potato chips.  Mum-Mum Snax is available in apple cinnamon, white cheddar, and strawberry banana flavor.

It is nice to find a snack that grows with your child.
