Sleepytime tea is a type of herbal tea produced by Celestial Seasonings. It gives many people like myself relief from mild insomnia. Sleepytime tea has a 
“comforting aroma” that can help soothe your body after a long day that is why it is the perfect end of the day tea.
I’ve been sipping Celestial Seasonings “Sleepytime Tea” for years, and at times, I’ve used as many as four tea bags at once to get a larger dose of Chamomile.
Sleepytime tea is also good for relieving mild nausea and there is a new blend of 
Sleepytime that will even help sooth and coat a soar throat .
When the seasons change, minor throat irritations are all too common. Sleepytime Throat Tamer® Wellness Tea has all the calming benefits of the regular tea that helps you sleep, however they have added licorice root and slippery elm bark to coat the throat and help alleviate 
seasonal discomfort, while the rejuvenating infusion of lemongrass and ginger provides a comforting aroma.
In all honesty this is not the best tasting tea. The flavor is unpleasant. The licorice is very prominent. I’m not a fan of black licorice, but the tea does help coat and sooth the throat.
As a Celestial Seasonings Herb Tea fan I prefer the regular, Sleepytime over the 
new Sleepytime Vanilla tea. Out of the box the new tea smells quite herbal with a strong odor of mint and vanilla.The new tea is a smooth sweet-tasting tea. I don’t taste a huge amount of vanilla, but I think it is because the mint and chamomile drown out the vanilla flavor. Now that the box is gone I think I’ll covert back to my regular Sleepytime.
If you are allergic to the ragweed family, then steer clear of any of Celestial Seasonings SleepyTime teas as they do contain chamomile.
If you have a medical condition, or you’re on daily medication, it’s important that you review the Tea’s ingredient list first before consuming.
