That is because Chihuahua clothing is in demand since there are animal lovers who prefer to have Chihuahua as a pet because of its size. You get to carry them anywhere since they are not that heavy. If you are the type of person who loves to style up their Chihuahua and yet are not that willing to spend big bucks on Chihuahua clothes, then this article will help you how to save money on their clothing. Here are the materials you will need: used sweater of a 2 or 3 year old child, sewing machine, thread, tape measure, shears, marker, and some accessories.
Keep in mind that Chihuahuas are not that big. They get to grow between 6 to 8
inches only. If you use a children's sweater they are quite too big for your
pet. If you use a toddler's used sweater it will just fit perfectly.
• Measure your dog from the collar area to the beginning of its tail. Measure its front paws, the neck area, the stomach, and chest area. • With the measurements ready, draw some lines on the used sweater so that you will be guided as you cut and sew the sweater. • Cut of the sleeves of the sweater but leave enough to cover the Chihuahua's front paws. Just make sure that the length is just right. Do not make it too long as your dog might step on it and slip causing your pet harm. • If the sweater's collar will fit inside the Chihuahua's head then retain its original measurements. No need to make some changes or to cut it. However, if the collar is too small to fit in then cut the collar area until his head can go through. Sew its edges to prevent it from ripping. If the collar is too large then make the necessary adjustments to ensure that the collar is not hanging on your dog's neck. • On the chest and stomach area, if there is a need to make some necessary adjustments to your Chihuahua clothing then do it. You may cut of the bottom part of the sweater and draw on its side a slight curve. The curve will fit perfectly on the chest and stomach area. Sew the sweater using the marker as its guide. • You can add some accessories on it to make it look more beautiful and stylish. With your own creativity, you can actually make Chihuahua clothes as many as you like without spending so much.
