Easy Recipe for Breakfast or any meal - Fruit FloatPosted on Friday, October 08 @ 22:43:53 CDT | Topic: Recipes by Marijo Phelps Fruit Float 2 bananas broken in chunks 1/3 of a can frozen orange juice concentrate 1 cups water 2 tsp almond extract 1 package frozen sweet cherries (Safeway) OR frozen peaches, blueberries or combo thereof Put the frozen OJ, water, bananas and almond extract in blender and liquify Add the frozen fruit a bit at a time and liquify Will make a pureed frozen fruit concoction the consistency of sorbet Put in some tofu chunks blender with fruit mixture and it is breakfast. When I worked for a pediatrician we suggested this for children on a milk free diet when siblings had milk shakes. OR this worked for the whole family and was probably much healthier than a "milk shake" full of chemicals. If you don't have milk issues you may also add vanilla yogurt for protein calcium and a very refreshing change to this combination. You need the bananas, cherries, OJ, almost extract and water with that to start I have made it with adding pears, apples, melon chunks or whatever fresh fruit is available. She lives with her husband in the middle of a mountain meadow. She is wanting to spread the good news about His redemptive plan for our lives through written media. Her name is pronounced Mary Jo (her dad got cute with the spelling of it). She was an RN for 23+ years, missionary with YWAM then statistical analyst for Every Home for Christ over 9 years. She had her first poem published when she was four years old (her mom might have had more than a little to do with that!) She has been writing ever since. |
