Camp Trillium encourages Canadians to visit Septembering.ca and create a ring of support during Childhood Cancer Awareness Month
We live in a world where people are more interconnected than ever before.
Through online communities, one person’s story reaches far and wide. So how do
you harness those connections to build awareness for a worthy cause?Camp Trillium is an Ontario organization that has provided help and activities for children with cancer and their parents for more than 27 years. They’ve just launched Septembering.ca in honour of Childhood Cancer Awareness Month, an innovative way to raise awareness and support for kids dealing with cancer. Camp Trillium’s new program lets donors also known as ‘ring-bearers’, pay it forward by making donations on behalf of family or friends that benefit children with cancer and improve the quality of their lives. Camp Trillium provides a place for children who’ve been affected by cancer
and their families to escape from the outside world, develop life-long
friendships, and create magical memories. About Septembering.ca Septembering.ca, is a unique and simple charitable initiative that allows users to pay it forward by creating virtual rings that are built organically as friends and family join the act of making a donation on the website. Here’s how it works:
“We hope the rings create a chain of support and Septembering.ca becomes a movement synonymous with Childhood Cancer Awareness Month,” Fisher adds. BoilerplateAbout Camp Trillium Camp Trillium operates two sites in Ontario.
