Enviro-Log Firelogs & FireStarters Review

The winter chill will soon be upon us.  Avoid turning the gas or electric heat on this winter,  with a fireplace or wood burning Enviro-Log Firelogs and Firestartersstove. Both are a more economical alternative.  An eco-friendly, readily available alternatives to firewood is fire-logs.  Known as the greenest and most versatile firelogs on the market, Enviro-Log Firelogs are the ultimate firewood substitute. They produce a fraction of the harmful emissions and help produce waste in the process. The logs are made of 100% waxed, corrugated cardboard boxes which were used for fresh vegetables.

While I don’t have a fireplace or wood stove, I do own a fire pit. My wife and I spend a fair bit of time outside, during the summer months and we love to entertain family and friends. That’s what influenced me to buy a screen covered fire pit this pass summer. There’s just something about the ambiance of a fire while sitting outside with friends and family.

Until recently, I was using an old cut down apple tree to heat my fire pit.  My wife suggested I use  Enviro-Log Firelogs and Firestarters!

The logs come in 5-pound and 3-pound sizes and are easy to light. The 5 pound burns for 3 hours and the 3 pound burns for 2 hours.

It is quite easy to start up the fire following the instruction sheet. Simply open the package, remove the log, twist the wrapper and place it into the fire pit.   Lite the wrapper and the two ends of the log which will ignite quickly, but safely.

The end will burn just as easy as the wrapper itself. I find this quite impressive. The log will be lit within about five to ten minutes. This photo was taken within 30 min of lighting. Some report a waxy odor from the logs, but I didn’t smell anything stronger than that of a burning candle.

Experience with Enviro-Log Firelogs

The 1st log burned for about 3 1/2 hours. I also added extra wood later to see how they played together and it showed how much nicer the Enviro-Log was compared to the smokey cut down crab apple tree I offered up. The Enviro-Log burned evenly and with about as much heat as regular wood. The lack of smoke and scent is appealing for my wife, who isn’t a fan of the  burning wood smell.

Cooking with Enviro-Log Firelogs

Enviro-Log Firelogs are safe for use in chimineas, campfires, outdoor tailgating and cookout events. You can let the kids roast marshmallows or wieners and even smores over the Enviro-Log Firelogs and Firestarters without worry of harmful chemicals leeching into the food.

No camping trip would be complete without a campfire. Enviro-Log Firelogs and Firestarters are the perfect products to bring on your next camping trip. You can transport them without the concern of restrictions imposed on firewood by some campsites.

Enviro-Log Firelogs for Extreme Winter Weather

Mother Nature has no warning. Prepare for extreme winter weather with Enviro-Log Firelogs and Firestarters. Because the firelogs have no expiration date they are useful to use in emergency situations, such as hydro outages.  Use the firelogs for home heating if you have a fireplace or wood stove and for cooking. You can use the logs on an outside pit if you do not have a fireplace.

Overall, I definitely recommend Enviro-Log Firelogs and Firestarters. They provide a safe, clean and environmentally friendly way to start a fire anywhere. You can use the ash from Enviro-Log Firelogs as fertilizer or potting soil.
